Served Social Accountability International for 10 years (2001-2011) as its China director.

Closely involved with the development of SA8000, a prominent international standard on labor rights and fair workplaces.

Contributed to the launch of a national debate in 2004 resulting in Chinese government’s endorsement of the CSR concept.

Assisted numerous corporations and suppliers in developing responsible supply chain management strategies and practices.

Co-director of Solidaridad Asia for 9 years (2008-2017).

Solidari-dad’s projects in Asia on sustainable agriculture benefited at least 100,000 small holder farmers across Asia.

Provided instrumental support to Better Cotton Initiative, Round Table on Responsible Soybean, and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil in launching their China programs.

Designed and implemented the Better Mills Initiative with brands such as H&M, VFC, C&A, IKEA, which resulted in up to 5 million metric tons of saved water and above 10,000 metric tons of reduced CO2 emission.
[Contribution in Dealing with Climate Change]

Helped creating the “China as a Market” concept aiming to mobilize the Chinese market demand for deforestation-free soft commodities (soybean, palm oil, beef).

Formed alliance with international organizations (TNC, WWF, Paulson Institute) in launching the China-South America Sustainable Soy Trade Platform in 2015, aiming to curb deforestation in South America.

Contributed to the strategic planning and implementation of the green finance project developed by UK’s Cambridge University and China’s Central University of Finance and Economics.

Provided advice and consultation to investment management corporations such as Blackrock, Wisdom Tree on their ESG strategy.
