3. Basic Introduction

 

Jiang Nanqing, PhD in Ecology,graduated from Beijing Normal University. She did her research in the Netherlands, Japan, Israel and Kenya as Postdoc and research scientist. She has the expertise in environment and sustainable development. She was the senior programme officer of INBAR from 2007-2008, and worked at UNEP China Office from 2008-2018. 

 

She worked as the Secretary General of China Plastic Reuse and Recycling Association from 2018-2019. She was the consultant of plastic projects of World Bank, ADB, EU, WWF, UNICEF-UNDP, UN Global Compact. From 2020, she works in the area of circular economy and carbon reduction including plastic recycling, and in 2022 She setup the Committee of Green Circular Economy of All-China Environment Federation (CGCI-ACEF) and served as the Secretary General. She setup the Institute of Circular Economy and Carbon Neutral as the director. 

 

She is the board member of P&G Sustainable Development Advisory Board, Alibaba Carbon Neutral Expert Committee, Beike Charity Foundation, Meituan Green Mountain Plan Advisory Committee, and China UN Association, Carbon Sequestration Committee advisor of Yunnan Puer City. She is the visiting professor of Carbon Neutral Research Institute of Sichuan Tourism College. 

 

She dedicates in ESG, and coupled with circular economy and carbon reduction from consumption side. She made series of standards of carbon reduction of individual behaviors, covering plastic recycling, food waste and green transportation. She wrote for major Chinese newspapers and TV commentator as KOL.
